Oprah Winfrey is one of the most influential people in America. Even though she had a very tough childhood, she was still able to help motivate people and help our nation. She started co-anchoring a local radio station at the age of seventeen, which then became a hit all over town. She also worked on the talk show “AM Chiago” and then that became a hit, which later turned into “The Oprah Winfrey Show”. After all her hard work, she became the number one talk show host in the nation. But unlike other talk show hosts, she focused on helping others who are in need and reaching out to those who needed help. She is the first African-American billionaire, but she has shared her wealth to help those who are in need and even though they don’t ask for it, she does it because she wants to. To me, i think Oprah is a wonderful person, and it’s amazing to see her achieve now from her past. She is truly a great person and my idol. (:
